Shore Road Park Playground

Located on Shore Road between Arctic Street and South Bay Street, Shore Road Park Playground offers a beautiful waterfront setting along the Great South Bay. Newly renovated in 2023, the playground features updated equipment, improved safety surfacing, and some ADA-accessible elements. With open grassy areas and benches overlooking the water, it’s the perfect spot for children to play, families to gather, and residents to enjoy the fresh air and coastal breeze.

Weckerle Park Playground

Located at the intersection of New York Avenue, North 9th Street, and West John Street, Weckerle Park Playground is a small neighborhood park ideal for young children and families. The park features modern playground equipment, an inclusive ADA-compliant swing, and a soft, safety surface throughout. With shaded areas and benches nearby, it’s a welcoming spot for outdoor play and relaxation for all abilities.

Village Park Playground

Located at 336 North Alleghany Avenue, Village Park Playground is a spacious neighborhood park offering a variety of play equipment for children of all ages. The playground includes ADA-compliant features, making it accessible and inclusive for children of all abilities. Swings, slides, climbing structures, and open space provide plenty of options for active and imaginative play.

Charles J. Cowan Marina

Located at the end of South Wellwood Avenue, the Charles J. Cowan Marina is a peaceful waterfront area on the Great South Bay. Visitors can enjoy open views of the bay, benches for relaxing, and opportunities for fishing and crabbing. Crabbing permits are required and can be obtained by calling 631-957-7500. Whether you’re looking for a quiet place to unwind or cast a line, the marina offers a scenic and serene setting along the shoreline.

Village Square

Located at 116 North Wellwood Avenue, Village Square is a central gathering place in Lindenhurst’s downtown. This welcoming public space features seating areas, picnic tables to enjoy food from local eateries, landscaping, and open space for community events and everyday relaxation. Village Square provides a vibrant spot for residents and visitors to connect, enjoy local happenings, and take in the heart of the Village.

Village Park

Located at 336 North Alleghany Avenue, Village Park is a spacious, multi-use community park in the Village of Lindenhurst. The park features an ADA-compliant playground, baseball and softball fields, a basketball court, tennis and pickleball courts, and open green space. It also borders Fellers Pond, providing scenic views and a peaceful setting for walking or relaxing. Whether you’re here to play, unwind, or spend time with family and friends, Village Park offers something for everyone.

9/11 Memorial Garden

Located on the south side of Village Park on Byrd Street between Irmisch Avenue and Heiling Boulevard, the 9/11 Memorial Garden is a quiet space dedicated to remembrance and reflection. Created in honor of those lost on September 11, 2001 including members of the Lindenhurst community, the garden features memorial plaques, landscaped plantings, and benches for peaceful visitation. It serves as a place for residents and visitors to pay tribute, reflect, and remember the lives forever impacted by that day.
