Maryann Weckerle, Deputy Mayor

Maryann was elected to her first public office as Lindenhurst Village Trustee in March 2006. She was re-elected in 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2022. Maryann was appointed as Deputy Mayor in March 2017.

Maryann is a life-long resident of the Village of Lindenhurst and is married with one son. Her past community involvement includes extensive work with the local PTAs, having chaired many committees and serving on the District Planning Team for Site-Based Management and the PTA Council Scholarship Committee.

Trustee Weckerle is a past president of the Lindenhurst Historical Society and presently serves as its treasurer. Her other community involvement includes executive board member status with the Mayor’s Beautification Society, member of the Lindenhurst Chamber of Commerce, member of the Lindenhurst Rotary Club, recipient of the Rotary Club’s Community Service Award with her husband, Tom, in 2005, and board member of the Village of Lindenhurst’s Business Improvement District.

In addition, Maryann is the proprietor of a 50 year-old, family-owned local small business right in the Village. She is a graduate of Lindenhurst High School and has a B.A. in business administration from Molloy College.
