David Collins, Trustee

David Collins was appointed to the position of Trustee at the December 16, 2025, Lindenhurst Village Board Meeting. Trustee Collins is fulfilling the remainder of the term vacated by former Trustee RJ Renna.

David Collins is a lifetime Lindenhurst Village resident. He resides in Lindenhurst with his wife, Dianne, and their two children, Joseph and Emily. David is a graduate of Lindenhurst High School.

David has an extensive history of service with the Lindenhurst Fire Department, beginning with the Lindenhurst Junior Fire Department in 1990. He joined Hook, Ladder and Engine Company No. 2 in 1999 and held several leadership positions, including Secretary, Lieutenant, Captain, and Assistant Chief. He also chaired and served on numerous company and department committees and was a member of the Fire Council. David served as Chief of the Lindenhurst Fire Department from April 2023 through April 2025 and remains active with the Fire Police and Dive Team.
