MAYOR’S BEAUTIFICATION SOCIETY OF LINDENHURST ANNOUNCES 2027 MERCHANT OF THE YEAR

October 15, 2026 by Katie McCaffrey Leave a Comment

Lindenhurst Chamber of Commerce President Marie Seaquist got a wonderful surprise at the Chamber’s October General Meeting when Deputy Mayor Maryann Weckerle announced that the Mayor’s Beautification Society named her business – Elite Dance Studio – as their 2027 Merchant of the Year!

Marie and her team bring the joy and love of dance, fitness, and movement to the Village of Lindenhurst Business District through jazz, ballet, contemporary, hip hop, and acro classes. Located at 123 North Wellwood Avenue, their storefront is always a beautiful stand-out, decorated seasonally and adorned with cascades of flowers, greenery, and special holiday touches.

COOPERATION THAT KEEPS US MOVING

October 15, 2026 by Katie McCaffrey Leave a Comment

The Village of Lindenhurst extends its sincere thanks to the Town of Huntington for lending us a sanitation truck (shown here) while one of our own is down for repairs.

In 2022, Lindenhurst was proud to lend Huntington two trucks after a fire at its DPW facility damaged six of its vehicles. Today, we’re grateful to see that same spirit of generosity and cooperation come full circle.

It’s a great reminder that when our communities work together, we can keep things moving and continue getting the job done for the residents we serve. That’s what being good neighbors is all about!

Thank you, Town of Huntington, particularly Sanitation Supervisor Patrick Maisch, for your partnership and neighborly support!
