June 2026

June 12, 2026 by Katie McCaffrey Leave a Comment

Dear Residents,

Summer is just around the corner in the Village of Lindenhurst, bringing with it longer days, warmer weather, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy everything our community has to offer. Whether you’re attending a local event, visiting our downtown businesses, spending time with family and friends, or enjoying our beautiful waterfront, there is no shortage of ways to make the most of the season.

This summer, we invite residents to take part in several exciting community events:

• Free Summer Concert Series – Every Friday and Saturday evening from June 26 through September 26, 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM: Join us at Village Square Park for live music, great entertainment, and fun for the whole family. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy summer nights in the heart of downtown Lindenhurst.

• Lindenhurst Farmers Market – Every Saturday, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM: Shop fresh produce, baked goods, specialty foods, and handcrafted items while supporting local vendors and businesses.

• Lindenhurst Liberty Day – Saturday, July 11, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM: Celebrate our nation’s 250th anniversary with an afternoon of family-friendly activities, live entertainment, and community spirit in the heart of our Village.

As our parks, streets, waterways, and downtown become busier throughout the summer months, I encourage everyone to remain mindful of safety. Please watch for pedestrians, bicyclists, and children enjoying the outdoors, and always obey posted traffic regulations.

For those spending time on the water, remember that safe boating is everyone’s responsibility. Always wear or have readily accessible life jackets, avoid operating a vessel while impaired, be aware of changing weather conditions, and follow all navigation rules. Taking a few simple precautions can help ensure a safe and enjoyable boating season for everyone.

As the school year comes to a close, I would also like to recognize the members of the Class of 2026 who will soon be celebrating their graduations. Your hard work, dedication, and perseverance have brought you to this important milestone, and the Village of Lindenhurst is proud of your accomplishments. On behalf of the Village Board, congratulations and best wishes for a bright and successful future.

Our Village departments continue working hard to improve and maintain our community through infrastructure upgrades, park enhancements, beautification efforts, and the delivery of essential services. We remain committed to making Lindenhurst an even better place to live, work, and visit.

Stay informed about Village services, programs, and upcoming events by visiting the Village website, downloading the My Lindy app, or contacting Village Hall at 631-957-7500.

Thank you for your continued support and pride in our Village. On behalf of the Village Board, I wish you and your family a safe, healthy, and enjoyable summer.

Warm Regards,

Michael A. Lavorata
Mayor
