In celebration of Women’s History Month, the Lindenhurst Village Board recently recognized Alice Cromarty and the Honorable Gaetan B. Lozito (Ret.) as outstanding community members. Both women were celebrated for their exceptional leadership and tireless service to our community.
Mayor Michael Lavorata said, “Their commitment to strengthening our community, and uplifting others reflects the spirit of Women’s History Month, and honors the legacy of the many women whose leadership and compassion continues to inspire future generations.”
Former District Court Judge Gaetan B. Lozito’s memberships include the Suffolk County Bar Association, the Suffolk County Women’s Bar Association, and the Suffolk County Columbian Lawyers Association. She is also actively involved with the Kiwanis Club of Lindenhurst, the Zonta Club of Western Suffolk County, the Babylon Citizens Council of the Arts, the Order of the Sons and Daughters of Italy in America, and Rotary International.
Through her leadership as Co-President of the Kiwanis Club of Lindenhurst, and her dedicated service to the Business Improvement District and Babylon Citizen’s Council of the Arts, Alice Cromarty has remained a cornerstone of the Lindenhurst community. Alice’s dedication to her community is further evidenced by her participation in the Kiwanis Hometown Heroes program, which honors those who have served our country in the military.
