March 2026

March 9, 2026 by Katie McCaffrey Leave a Comment

Dear Residents,

Although there is still some snow on the ground, Spring is just around the corner, and March is the perfect time to get out and enjoy everything our Village has to offer. From family-friendly events to seasonal activities, there is something for everyone to enjoy in Lindenhurst this month.

This month, we have several exciting events for the whole family:

  • Eggstravaganza – Saturday, March 14, 11:00AM-2:00PM: Enjoy games, activities, and an egg hunt for children throughout our Downtown Business District.
  • St. Patrick’s Parade – Sunday, March 21, 12:00PM: Celebrate Irish pride down Wellwood Avenue with Grand Marshal Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney.

We encourage everyone to take part in these events and connect with neighbors. It is a wonderful way to celebrate community and make new memories.

I would also like to remind residents of the following important dates:

  • Monday, March 9 – Mayor’s Annual “State of the Village” Address: Monday, March 9, 7:00PM at the Rainbow Center (293 Buffalo Avenue)
  • Wednesday, March 18 – Village General Election: Polls Open 9:00AM-9:00PM
  • Wednesday, April 1 – Last Day to Pay Village Taxes: Pay Online  or In-Person at Village Hall 8:00AM-3:30PM

Our Village departments are busy preparing for the season, including street and park maintenance, to keep Lindenhurst safe and welcoming for all.

Stay informed about Village services, programs, and updates by checking our website and the MyLindy app. Village Hall staff are always available to assist you by calling 631-957-7500 or visiting 430 S. Wellwood Avenue.

Thank you for your continued support and pride in Lindenhurst. Together, we make our Village a vibrant and welcoming community.
