LINDENHURST VILLAGE OFFICIALS SWORN IN

April 11, 2024 by Katie McCaffrey Leave a Comment

Village Hall was abuzz on Organization Night, April 1st, 2024, with much activity.  First, re-elected officials Mayor Michael A. Lavorata and Trustee Richard J. Renna, and newly-elected Trustee Douglas J. Madlon were sworn in to office by Suffolk County District Court Judge Evan Zuckerman.

“I am truly honored to be re-elected Mayor of the greatest Village on Earth!  The confidence shown to me by the residents of Lindenhurst Village is very special and I do not take their support lightly.  I promise to continue doing the great things that we have accomplished these last 7 years,” said Mayor Lavorata. Trustee Renna, who was also re-appointed that night as the Village Deputy Mayor, said, “I’m truly honored to have been re-elected to serve the Village of Lindenhurst. As your Deputy Mayor, I’m excited to collaborate with the board to enhance our downtown area and ensure that Lindenhurst continues to progress in the right direction.”

Trustee Madlon added, “I am honored and grateful to be elected as a Trustee in our Village of Lindenhurst. I love living in Lindenhurst and promise to work hard to keep our suburban way of life strong and vibrant.

Additionally, Mayor Lavorata re-appointed the Village’s Administration Team, who took over six months ago — Village Administrator Joe Barone, Village Clerk Katie Schrader, Village Deputy Clerk Katie McCaffrey, and Secretary to the Mayor & Village Board Brianna Bartolotta.  The primarily female team, the first in the Village’s history, will continue to oversee Village Hall, with their main priority being, as always, to provide excellent, ever-improving constituent services.
