September 100th Anniversary Event – Volksmarch

The Village of Lindenhurst, in conjunction with the Lindenhurst Historical Society, is excited to announce the September 100th Anniversary event! The Historical Society, who is celebrating its 75th anniversary, will be hosting a Volksmarch on Sunday, September 17, 2023. Registration begins at 9:00 AM and the walk begins at 10:00 AM.

A Volksmarch is a 3.1 mile family friendly and leisurely walk from one destination to another where participants learn about specific details of landmarks and history of the Village.

Registration begins at 9:00 AM the day of the event. Pre-registration is available beginning August 31, 2023.

Please fill out the registration form and email it to lindenhursthistoricalsociety@gmail.com. The form can be downloaded here: Volksmarch Registration Form

Registration fees are a donation to the Lindenhurst Historical Society. Pre-registration donation is $13.00 for a single participant and $18.00 for a family. Event day registration is $15.00 for a single participant and $20.00 for a family.

The Volksmarch begins and ends at the Firemen’s Pavilion (Heiling Boulevard). The Breslau Engine Co. will be holding their annual Germanfest the day of the Volksmarch. Participation in the Volksmarch gets you free entry into the Germanfest!
