SCVOA 2022 Legislative Dinner

Village staff were on hand to support Lindenhurst Mayor Michael Lavorata as he was recently sworn in as 4th Vice President of the Suffolk County Village Officials Association Executive Board.  SCVOA’S mission is to inform, support, and advocate on behalf of the 32 Villages of Suffolk County.

Mayor Lavorata said, “I am grateful to have the support of the Village Hall staff, honored to serve on the SCVOA Board, and proud to serve as the Mayor of Lindenhurst.”

Rainbow Center in Need of Volunteers

The Village of Lindenhurst Rainbow Senior Center is seeking volunteers who would like to knit or crochet baby blankets, hats and blankets for veterans. We will supply you with the yarn and knitting/crochet needles. You can work on these items at home or in our center, whatever is most convenient for you.  Give us a call and we would be happy to answer any questions. When items are completed, you can drop them off at the center.

All items produced are donated & distributed to various local hospitals for preemie babies, shelters, children with cancer & to our veterans. The Rainbow Center is located at 293 Buffalo Avenue, and is open Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Any questions, contact the Rainbow Center at (631) 957-7526.
