The Underwriters Laboratories, Melville, New York celebrated their 125th Anniversary by cleaning 125 area creeks. On Friday, November 8, a group of volunteers from Underwriters Laboratories spent a day picking up litter and debris from Santapogue Creek, Lindenhurst. Mayor Michael Lavorata, a UL employee who participated in the event, said, “By removing all the litter from the creek, we are doing what we can as citizens to help save the Great South Bay.”
