February 28, 2022 by Katie McCaffrey

Village tax bills have been mailed out and are due by April 1, 2022 without penalty. Payments received after this date are late and subject to a 5% plus $2.00 penalty. Tax payments are only accepted in full – no partial payments will be accepted.

Payments can be made in the following ways:

In-Person – Payments can be made by cash, check, money order, or credit card in person at Village Hall Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

There is a non-refundable service fee charged from the credit card processing company of 2.5% for credit card payments (in person and online). This fee does not go to the Village.

Mail – Check payments can also be mailed to Village Hall. Check payments can be mailed to:

Lindenhurst Village Hall
Attn: Tax Department
430 S. Wellwood Ave.
Lindenhurst, NY 11757

Envelopes must be postmarked on or before April 1, 2022 in order for the amount on the bill to be valid. Pleasure return the bottom portion of the bill with payment.

Online – Payments can be made online via the payment portal through April 1, 2022. Online payments will not be accepted after April 1, 2022.

Late Tax Payments – If payment is not received by April 1, 2022 a 5 percent penalty and a $2.00 fee will be charged in addition to the tax amount. This fee will continue to increase each month it is not paid.
