Lindenhurst Mayor Michael Lavorata announces that the Lindenhurst Rainbow Senior Center, located at 293 Buffalo Avenue, will be hosting an Open House on Thursday, April 25th, between the hours of 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
The Open House event will include: on-going tours of the Center; a brief program hosted by Mayor Lavorata, Deputy Mayor Maryann Weckerle, including highlights of our senior citizen program, and a brief history of the Rainbow Center by Anna Jaeger, Village Historian; and a special luncheon will be served at noon. The day will also feature a Painting Class display, a Quilting Class demonstration, and exciting Trip and Travel information.
Also during the event, Lindy Cares will be sponsoring a “Shed The Meds” Day. If anyone has any medication/unused prescriptions they would like to discard, the Suffolk County Policy Department will be on site to collect the medications to ensure that they are properly disposed of.
All are welcome to attend. Deputy Mayor Weckerle said, “Please come down and visit our senior citizen center and learn about all the great activities we offer.” For further information, contact the Rainbow Center at 631-957-7526.
